The full new State Pension (from April 2016) requires 35 qualifying years of NI contributions, giving £221.20/week (2024/25). Minimum 10 years for any pension. Each qualifying year adds 1/35th of the full amount. The state pension age is currently 66, rising to 67 by 2028 and 68 thereafter.
